Guacamelee! 2, the sequel to the acclaimed whimsical metroidvania title that first landed on previous generation consoles back in 2013 has a release date. A new trailer confirms the game will arrive on PS4 next month, August 21.
The trailer description reads:

The brief gameplay demo showcases some new moves for our favorite luchador, as well as chicken form abilities. The new game also features four-player drop-in/drop-out co-op, which is an expanded version of a beloved feature of the previous game —so much so that we included it in our list of the 55 best PS4 couch co-op games.
Guacamelee! 2 is priced at $19.99. Although the previous game was recently launched on Microsoft and Nintendo’s consoles, there’s no word yet on whether the sequel will come to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
