Today Cygames hosted its traditional summer broadcast dedicated to the Granblue Fantasy franchise and they had new information to share about Granblue Fantasy Versus.
We get to see a brand new trailer revealing the RPG mode which includes a story and JRPG gameplay reminiscent of the original Granblue Fantasy mobile game.
The game also includes giant boss battles, that look absolutely spectacular. Local and online co-op will be supported.
We also get a release date. The game is coming for PS4 on February 6, 2020, which is a bit later compared to the previously-promised 2019 window. This is related to Japan, but Cygames previously went on record mentioning that they planned to release the game simultaneously worldwide.
The game will include 11 characters at launch, while the first season pass will include 5 additional fighters.
You can watch the trailer below, alongside two gameplay videos showing the boss battles mentioned above.
Those who purchase the game at launch in Japan will even receive bonuses in the Granblue Fantasy mobile game, including 1 gold ingot, 1 sunlight stone, 1 evolute, and 10 Damascus crystals.
The standard edition will be priced 6,800 yen plus taxes, while a special edition priced 11,860 yen plus taxes will come with a special box, a soundtrack, an art book, the first season pass, a DLC with additional colors for your fighters, a PS4 theme, and PSN avatars.
Pre-orders will start in Japan on Monday, August 5.
