Today Sony released a video featuring the folks who made the game as they thank the fans, also showcasing some of the awesome fan art and work that many put into expressing their love for the new adventure of Kratos and the first trials for Atreus.

You can check out the video below, and it’s a rather emotional journey through just how much love gamers can express for a game. In a day and age in which often the fandom is misrepresented as overly negative, this is certainly refreshing.

This isn’t the only surprise in store, as Sony also released a really lovely dynamic theme featuring father and son on their now iconic boat, topped by God of War’s fantastic music. It’s completely free and you can find it here on the North American and European PlayStation Stores.

It’s most definitely one of the better themes released in the past year, and it went straight on my PS4’s dashboard.

If you’re unfamiliar with the game, you can check out our review and learn why the game earned so much love and respect among gamers and fans of the franchise.

God of War is currently available exclusively for PS4.

Proud weeb hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long-standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
