Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 4 will be coming to Steam on PC on March 9, the company announced today.
The somewhat arcadey racer set against the backdrop of Great Britain originally launched for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC through the Microsoft Store in 2018. The Steam version will contain all the content of the original game, including the battle royale-inspired The Eliminator mode.
The company said that the Fortune Island expansion, LEGO Speed Champions expansion, Best of Bond Car Pack, Barrett-Jackson Car Pack, and the upcoming Hot Wheels Legends Car Pack will be available to purchase on Steam as well.
The Steam version will support cross-play with the Windows 10 PC version, Xbox One, and Android via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate cloud gaming. Microsoft said in statement to Kotaku that the Steam version will not support cross-progression between the other versions or importing a save file from the Windows 10 PC version. The only information that will carry over are “Leaderboards and Clubs” data tied to a player’s gamertag.
Forza Horizon 4 joins other Microsoft properties that have been released on Steam such as Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Sea of Thieves, Gears 5, and Gears Tactics since the company announced it would be bringing more of its titles to the platform in 2019.
