The news comes via well-known Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey over on Twitter. According to the leaker, players will be able to find Wolverine as a new boss in the Battle Royale mode.

The description reads “Confront Weapon X deep in Weeping Woods, take him out, and shred through your opponents with the Wolverine’s Claws mythic power. Like other bosses on the map, he wont go down without a fight. Let us know what you think!”

With the arrival of Wolverine as a boss in Fortnite, we wouldn’t be surprised if players are tasked with taking him down a number of times as part of one of the weekly challenges, given this has been a recurring type of challenge since the beginning of the season.

On top of that, Fortnite will also be celebrating its third birthday, with challenges, rewards and cake up for grabs in the game over this weekend. You can expect more information on the Fortnite Birthday event to be shared later this week.

Finally, players will also get access to the Takeover LTM. Players must earn points by capturing and holding outposts in a new Marvel-themed game mode. Each player also starts with a random primary superpower and can earn more by seeking out comets falling from the sky, bringing more powers to the battle.

What’s most notable about the patch notes shared by Epic Games are a number of letters colored in red, as opposed to the usual white. These letters spell out ‘Daywalker’ suggesting that we may be seeing Blade coming to Fortnite in the near future.

No details have officially been shared by Epic Games just yet, but it certainly looks like a tease to us.

Epic Games has also made some minor changes to the map, though there aren’t any new named locations or particularly significant changes worth shouting about.
