The guided missile launcher, teased in a trailer yesterday, has been added to Battle Royale. The new weapon allows players to control rockets manually, though it moves slightly slower than a regular rocket and the player is immobile while in the rocket’s view. The Boogie Bomb has also been added back in, after it was removed for causing a bug where players could hold more than five items.

The limited-time mode Sniper Shootout returns this week to Fortnite: Battle Royale with a few changes, such as adding the hunting rifle and crossbow but removing the revolver. Players will also be eliminated immediately, instead of going into a downed state.

According to the patch notes, the update improves some visual bugs players have found troublesome. This includes “bushes and other environmental objects” popping into view too close to players and opened treasure chest appearing unopened from far distances.

Other Battle Royale performance improvements in the patch are reducing lag at the beginning of the match, better frame rate when nearby other players, texture filtering sharpness on consoles, and increased texture resolution for Xbox One. Epic also removed the 30 FPS mode from consoles, citing “significant GPU optimizations which improved visual quality, including resolution in 60 FPS mode.”

The 3.4 update adds a new Easter-themed questline, called “The Three Husketeers,” to the cooperative Save the World mode. Other changes include increasing the stack limit of Traps and crafting ingredients, adding the Remote Explosives weapon, removing the Energy requirement fro sprinting, and increasing XP and other rewards across missions in the mode. Check out the patch notes for the complete list of changes.
