It’s official, Kevin is back and he’s bigger than ever…. he’s even brought a bunch of friends to join him on the Fortnite island, as shown in the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 Story Trailer.

The trailer, included below, also reveals the return of The Foundation, that was first seen in the Zero Crisis event in Chapter 2: Season 6 in which he sealed himself into the Zero Point to stabilize it. The Foundation is shown lurking underwater, where the display that makes up its face comes to life at the very end of the trailer.

The rest of the Story Trailer shows the likes of Fishstick and other skins uncovering an enormous purple cube, reminiscent of the one that fans fell in love with in the original Chapter of the Fortnite game when it first appeared. Its return as a sinister villain in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 has resulted in some very excited fans, as can be seen in the comments on the YouTube version of the trailer.

Alongside the Story Trailer, Epic Games has also released the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 Battle Pass Trailer, showing off some of the new skins, including a black-and-white cartoon-stylr Fishstick (repping a seemingly very much alive guitar), a rainbow unicorn which goes by the name of Fabio Sparklemane, and Carnage from the upcoming Venom movie.

There’s also a secret Battle Pass skin which appears to be an original one from within the world of Fortnite, as opposed to being the crossover skin as we’d seen in previous seasons with Superman and Deadpool.

The Battle Pass trailer also gives us a further look of the gameplay of Season 8, with what seems like the Cube Monsters making a return, slowly but surely taking over the map just in time for Halloween at the end of October.
