Fortnite’s Humanitarian Relief Donation for the People of Ukraine Reaches $144 Million

Epic Games and Fortnite Raise over $50 million for Ukraine Relief Efforts

Back in March, Epic Games and Xbox announced a joint initiative to commit all of their proceeds for Fortnite for two weeks to humanitarian relief efforts for the people affected by the war in Ukraine.

Now that period has ended, and the developer announced that the total donation reached $144 million.

The organizations that will receive the donations are Direct ReliefUNICEFUN World Food Programme, the UN Refugee Agency, and World Central Kitchen.

It is worth mentioning that Epic will not wait to receive the funds before donating them. All transactions have been logged as they happened and the corresponding funds are being sent within a few days in order to deliver them as soon as possible.

Funds from Fortnite Subscriptions, including existing, re-activated, and new signups have also been donated.

With the War in Ukraine raging and affecting so many, gamers and gaming companies have rallied to donate, including relevant bundles on itch.io and Humble, that raised a total of $25 million.
