In the lead up to the release of Final Fantasy XV, many were wondering if a PC version was on the way. Square Enix has been pretty cagey on that front, but director Hajime Tabata has said multiple times that he’d like to bring the game to mouse and keyboard. If nothing else, he sees it as a good “technical attempt.”
Speaking with Hachima Kikou, he said that he wanted to “show PC players the game running on high end machines.” With the freedom that PC provides, Tabata thinks that Final Fantasy XV’s community could have system exclusive features, such as mod support (of course) and being able to create your own quests. Given that there are large areas of the game that are unused and open world, it wouldn’t be entirely out of the question.
That’s all he had to say regarding a PC version of Final Fantasy XV, however. There’s still no definitive statement on if it’ll actually come, but if that announcement comes, we’ll certainly let you know.
