Fallout 76 Beta Will Be Available for Xbox One Players First

fallout 76, bethesda, all ps4 game releases, november 2018

If you’re interested in trying out the Fallout 76 beta (and why wouldn’t you be?) you’ll have to pick up an Xbox One first. According to Bethesda in a new FAQ, the beta will be a timed exclusive for Xbox One, and will then head to PlayStation 4 and PC. While there’s no release date just yet for the beta, there’s no mistaking that you’ll need Microsoft’s system first if you want a crack at the game.

Bethesda has stated that it will be announcing the beta’s timing across Fallout 76’s various social channels, but it seems the way accessing the beta occurs hasn’t changed at all. If you want to be a part of it, you’ll need to preorder the game ahead of November 14, when it’s planned to launch across all platforms.

Fallout 76 is going to change things up significantly from prior entries in the series, especially as it’s taking the game entirely online, with apparently no NPCs to be found and all action taking place within the confines of an open persistent world where all players are “real people.” It’s certainly going to be an interesting twist on the Fallout world, and we can’t wait to give it a try and see what happens next. But remember, if you want to play, you’ll have to grab an Xbox One to get into the beta.

Are you going to be trying it out? Let us know!
