Today, during a livestream from Japan, Koei Tecmo showcased brand new gameplay of the upcoming Fairy Tail JRPG in development by Atelier studio Gust.
The gameplay was showcased directly by Producer Keisuke Kikuchi. We get to see the city of Magnolia and the guild hall, on top of one of the sub-stories focusing on the series’ familiar characters.
The second video showcases Gajeel and Natsu in action in a battle against monsters on the field.
The third provides a quick glance on the city of Crocus and on the battles of the Grand Magic Games, which are done over three stages.
The fourth video shows a scene with Wendy and Gajeel voiced live by the actors in attendance during the livestream.
We also see a brand new trailer announcing the Japanese release date. The game is coming out in the archipelago of the rising sun on March 19, 2020, for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
The trailer also showcases the new characters revealed a few days ago, showing them in action.
We also get to see the work-in-progress illustrations that Fiary Tail mangaka Hiro Mashima is creating for the Japanese limited Guild Box Edition’s cover and for the tapestry it will contain.
