Looking to pick up Overwatch after the beta? You’re not alone. Hype for the game is palpable, and that means it’s probably time to take a look at the different editions and bonuses available at US retailers before the May 24 release date.
Just Want Overwatch on PC?
You can buy the PC Standard Edition of game digitally for $39.99. Pre-ordering will get you the Widowmaker Noire skin: “Clad in black and red, she stalks her prey like a venomous spider.” Sounds lovely.
Overwatch: Origins Edition
If you want a physical copy of Overwatch, or if you want to play it on consoles, then you’ll need to buy the Origins Edition for $59.99. The Origins Edition can also be purchased digitally.
This edition comes with five skins: Overgrown Bastion, Blackwatch Reyes, Slipstream Tracer, Strike-Commander Morrison, and Security Chief Pharah. You’ll also get some in-game goodies across multiple Blizzard games:
- Diablo III – Mercy’s Wings: Slay demonic forces throughout the High Heavens and Burning Hells as you don Mercy’s wings. All of Sanctuary will know of your allegiance to Overwatch!
- World of Warcraft – Baby Winston Pet: Adorably cuddly and highly intellectual, the Baby Winston pet will be at your side as you fight your way through Azeroth.
- Hearthstone – Card Back: Battle it out in Hearthstone with an Overwatch-themed card back fit for a hero!
- StarCraft II – In-game Portraits: With brand new portraits of Tracer, Reaper, Pharah, Winston, Bastion, and Soldier: 76, you’re sure to become a champion of the Koprulu Sector.
- Heroes of the Storm – Tracer Hero: Jump into the Nexus with Tracer and surprise your enemies in the blink of an eye.
Splurging on a Collector’s Edition?
The physical Overwatch Collector’s Edition goes for $129.99 and includes the following:
- A 12.8″ statue of Soldier: 76
- A visual sourcebook of Overwatch illustrations and information.
- The Overwatch soundtrack
- The 5 skins and in-game goodies available in the Origins Edition
Also, this box.
GameStop
GameStop is offering an exclusive Mini Baby Winston Figure and a Tracer poster for pre-ordering the Origins Edition (they don’t offer the Standard edition). Buyers can bring a printed copy of their order confirmation page to a store to grab the poster, though GameStop recommends calling ahead because quantities will be “extremely limited.”
“While Supplies Last. Mini Figure available at launch. Figure shown not actual size. Not valid on Digital.”
Best Buy
Best Buy’s Origins Edition comes with an “Overwatch Collectible Metal Art Plate,” seen below. As for its size, your guess is as good as ours.
What about outside of the US?
Well, if you’re curious, some retailers in countries are offering special pins and badges.
