Epic Games’ MOBA Paragon is shutting down this April, the company has announced through a statement on its official site.
“It’s with heavy hearts we’ve decided to close down Paragon,” the release reads. “After careful consideration, and many difficult internal debates, we feel there isn’t a clear path for us to grow Paragon into a MOBA that retains enough players to be sustainable.”
Paragon will be shutting down officially on Apr. 26, 2018. Epic will be offering a full refund to all players for all the purchases they made previously across all platforms through Epic themselves, instead of the platform through which you made your purchases. That’s a pretty admirable action on Epic’s part, as you’ll be getting any money you spent on the game back. You can go about requesting your refund here.
If you’ve never played Paragon and are curious about the game, you’ve still got a little bit of time to do so, though dwindling player counts will inevitably give you a hard time of finding any matches. It seemed a little inevitable that Paragon may not be able to compete, but it’s unfortunate that another game is shuttering.
