Today Square Enix released a new batch of screenshots and information about Dragon Quest XI S for Nintendo Switch.
The press release mentions that this is the “definitive version” of the game, and we get to see the ability to switch between the 3D Mode with graphics derived from the PS4 version, and the 2D mode with retro visuals inspired by the 3DS version of the game.
One of the screenshots also shows the menu that lets you switch between the orchestral soundtrack and the original synthesized one. In addition to this, companion characters will follow the hero while walking and running around in the field. We already knew that Japanese voice acting will be included in the game.
Lastly, we get to take the first glimpse at the additional story content that will appear in Dragon Quest XI S for the Switch. It will include stories related to each character, revealing new aspects of their backgrounds and personalities that were never shown before on PS4 and PC.
