Nonoichi-based developer Granzella, known for the Disaster Report series, has been quite busy over the past couple of years. Today Chief Producer Kazuma Kujo provided a glimpse on the future in a New Year special on the Japanese website 4Gamer.
Kujo-san mentioned that while supporting its recently-released games, the developer is gearing up to reveal its new games around the spring of 2019.
He also mentioned that in 2018 there have been issues that caused delays, but he’d like to improve the production pipeline in order to release the games that the fans are excited for, and that can leave a lasting impression.
Granzella has just released Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories for PS4, and before that Manga Kakeru for PS4 and PS Vita. In 2017, we also saw City Shrouded in Shadows published by Bandai Namco for PS4. That managed to attract quite a bit of attention on the work of the small studio thanks to its over-the-top nature and popular kaiju.
At the moment, we don’t know whether Kujo-san is talking about another independent project like Disaster Report 4 Plus, or one for a publisher like City Shrouded in Shadows. We’ll have to wait and see, but of course you’ll hear all about it here on Twinfinite as soon as an announcement is made.
