It’s the most wonderful time of the year and to celebrate developer DESTINYbit has dropped a new update adding a bunch of new content to its roguelike survival-builder, Dice Legacy.
The new patch is available to download now on PC and is coming to Nintendo Switch “very soon”.
Headlining the fresh batch of bonus content is a brand new weather system with 16 different weather conditions that will help challenge more experienced Dice Legacy players. These specific conditions range from desert-inducing droughts to a deluge of heavy downpours.
Thankfully, players will be given a heads-up at the beginning of a season thanks to an in-game forecast so you’ll luckily have a chance to plan and prepare for the worst.
Of course, the weather can bring with it advantages and disadvantages depending on how your town is set up and how you roll those titular dice.
In addition, you’ll also nab a couple of new scenarios that you can play in the Forging A Realm game mode:
– Bizzarre Demands, a randomizer-style experience where every cost and requirement is in the hands of fate.
– Building a Following, where the only way to obtain new dice is to meet the demands of the people.
Looking to the future, a third major update dubbed ‘A Storm is Coming’ is in the pipeline, which will add even more content and variety to the dice-centric build-’em-up.
For more information about Dice Legacy, here’s a brief overview courtesy of the game’s official Steam page:
Dice Legacy is a dice-based survival city builder set on a mysterious ringworld. Your ship has reached the shore of an uncharted continent. Roll and use your dice to gather resources, expand and defend your settlement, survive the winter and interact with the strange inhabitants of this eerie world.
Dice Legacy is available to purchase now for Nintendo Switch and PC.
