Destiny 2’s Crucible Will See Balance Tweaks Ahead of Trials of the Nine Event

Changing up the Crucible.

Destiny 2 will be receiving some changes to the Crucible in a bid to balance out frustratingly difficult Competitive matches. The news comes by way of Bungie’s weekly update, which spells out that Quickplay’s Competitive playlist will be receiving tweaks to make it a little more fair.

“Too many players are getting stomped by opponents who grossly outmatch them,” wrote Bungie community manager David “DeeJ” Dague. In order to match you properly with an opponent in your league, we need to apply your skill rating. There is a bug we need to fix to ensure that this is done properly. We are applying that fix right now.”

So if you feel like you just haven’t been performing as well in your Crucible matches, perhaps this might make you feel a little better about your abilities. Similarly, if you’ve been feeling a little bored by it all and can’t stop wiping the floor with your opponents, that problem will be taken care of as well.

This is all in preparation for the upcoming Trials of the Nine Crucible event that will take place on Friday, September 15 at 1 PM ET.
