Well that didn’t take long did it? Just a few hours after launch today, Destiny 2’s latest raid, Scourge of the Past, has been taken down. The world first team includes Gigz, RioT, gamesager, Vendetta, Icecide, and Lunar.
Congratulations to our Scourge of the Past World First raid winners!

This is a stark contrast to the time it took for Last Wish to be completed for the first time. That took nearly 19 hours just for the world first, and after that only a small handful of other teams were able to complete it shortly after.
Last Wish was more of an outlier though and it seems like Scourge of the Past will be more in line with other past raids that Destiny has seen in terms of day 1 completion numbers.
For example, The Taken King had 37, 591 people complete it on day 1, and it wasn’t exactly a cake walk either. It’s too early to project out the numbers for Scourge of the Past, but it will be a lot higher than Last Wish if the top people are already starting to clear it, and approach clearing it, after a few hours that’s for sure.
There are still some popular streamers such as Datto, and Clan Redeem that are working their way through it at the time of this post on Twitch if you want to go visit them and see how it wraps up.
