The free weekend begins on June 29 at 3:01 a.m. ET and will last until Sunday, July 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET. The store listing for the free weekend trial has it classified as a demo, and is now available to pre-load. A PlayStation Network account is required to play online.

According to the description on the promotion’s trailer, the trial will include “the entire campaign, every mode, and all the gear you can earn in one weekend – for free.” The trial will only include the base game, and will not contain the two expansions –  Curse of Osiris and Warmind – released since the game’s launch in September 2017.

Earlier this month, Bungie announced the latest expansion coming to Destiny 2 later this year called Forsaken. The Forsaken add-on will be $40 and include a new campaign and raid, similar to the original Destiny’s The Taken King expansion, though players can get it as part of the game’s Annual Pass.

The Annual Pass is $70 and contains three content updates scheduled for winter 2018, spring 2019, and summer 2019. The updates will be focused on adding more challenges, weapons, and activities. Destiny 2: Forsaken and the Annual Pass launches on Sept. 4.
