Today Aniplex released a new trailer of Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppu Tan or Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles, as it’s known in English.
The trailer introduces a rather peculiar band of characters, and precisely the version of Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, and Giyu Tomioka from the Demon Slayer Academy (Kimetsu Gakuen) spin off.
The Kamado siblings are students, while Giyu Tomioka is a super-stern physical education teacher.
Unfortunately, the original trailer is region-locked to Japan, but you can check out a reuploaded version below alongside a few screenshots and art from the press release.
The Demon Slayer game Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppu Tan is currently being developed by CyberConnect2. If you want to see more, you can enjoy the latest batch of screenshots and another one, on top of the Japanese trailers showing Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko, those for Inosuke Hashibira and Zenitsu Agatsuma, the one for Giyu Tomioka, the videos introducing Sabito and Makomo, the trailer that revealed Shinobu Kocho, and the one showcasing Kyojuro Rengoku, and one focusing on Tanjiro Kamado in his Hinokami Kagura form.
The game is scheduled to be released in Japan and Asia in 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
While a western release has not been announced yet, we now know that the game is going to get an Asian release in English handled by the local arm of Sega. The English title is going to be Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles. At the moment, we don’t know if this localization will extend to the west or not.
