Red Hook has just announced a new update for Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court, and it looks players will have a much easier time obtaining the new Blood vial items available in the game.

As I mentioned in my review of the game, the new Crimson Curse mechanic is a brutal, but welcome one. However, due to the randomness of the Blood vial drops, it’s extremely easy to play yourself into a corner. Thankfully, the new update will address that issue by letting you obtain a new way of getting these through a Courtyard mission, but don’t expect the drop rate to remain the same as before.

In addition to that, Red Hook also mentioned that they’re currently targeting an August 22 release date for the PS4 and PS Vita versions of the game. You can check out the full details at the blog post here.

Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court is now available on PC via Steam, and will soon be released on PlayStation platforms as well.
