Today Japanese developer Mikage launched the crowdfunding campaign of the upcoming game Criminal Girls X.
In order to celebrate, they introduced a new character named Usagi (Rabbit) That’s not her actual name, which she has forgotten when descending into the realm of Shura as a half-sinner.
You can see her on the right of the image introducing the known cast at the bottom of the post. Of course, there are more waifus (24 in total), but those are the girls we know of so far, alongside the main hero transformed into a cat.
We also get to see a screenshot showcasing the action selection screen in battle. There is a time limit to select the actions that the girls will perform.
On top of that, the game got a live-action trailer. It was shot in Japan at the ruins of the Kitazawa Flotation Plant on Sado Island to convey the atmosphere of the game. It stars cosplayer chamomile playing the game’s heroine Nene, with a song composed by Mashiro Shirakami and performed by Luschka.
Mikage recently hinted to the possibility of releasing the game in the west. While Criminal Girls X is coming for PC, iOS, and Android as a free-to-play title, the crowdfunding campaign on the Japanese platform Campfire has the purpose to create an “all-in-one” version that lets players pay upfront for the whole thing.
The campaign has been open only for a few minutes, but at the moment of this writing, it has already been backed by 120 fans who pledged 2,478,410 yen of the 6,000,000 yen goal, which is just short of $58,000.
