Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu showcased a new year message from popular Japanese developer and publisher Compile Heart.
Interestingly, it mentions that the company is preparing to reveal new games of a “popular series” providing a hint that translates as “e-franchise” and of a “virtual series.”
No further hints were provided within the message.
Compile Heart is known for quite a lot of franchise, mostly focused on JRPG. Their biggest series is probably the Hyperdimention Neptunia series, which could really fit both hints as it could be seen as both “electronic” or “virtual.”
Other franchises include Record of Agarest War, Genkai Tokki, Mary Skelter, Fairy Fencer F, and many more.
It’ll be interesting to see what they have in store for next year. Among other things, we know that they’re working on a PS4 version of the popular Azur Lane mobile game, and on a new IP title Arc of Alchemist.
Most of their games are localized by Idea Factory International, so whatever Compile Heart is talking about, it’s likely that we’ll get to enjoy them in the west as well.
Of course, as soon as the teased games get announced, you’ll be able to read all about them here on Twinfinite.
