The game launched on iOS and Android worldwide, enabling players to engage in Player vs. Player 1 vs. 1 battles online.

Redwood Studios General Manager Michael Martinez accompanied the announcement with a statement, promising a new experience to mobile players who are also into RTS games.

“Over the past few months, we’ve made the world talk about Command & Conquer more and it has been really exciting to see. We’ve been playing Rivals every day with our community, working with them to make it as fun and balanced as it can be. Our goal was to bring something new to mobile players who play RTS games, giving them full control of their every move, to bring out their true competitive skill.”

The game’s release will come with an in-game weekend event, while the title will join Electronic Arts’ competitive lineup next year with a multi-continent esports program, following the example of the FIFA Ultimate Team Champions.

If you prefer to play Command & Conquer on a slightly more traditional platform, Electronic Arts is also working on a remastered collection of the original games.
