Code Vein is inching ever closer to its September release date, and Bandai Namco has just released a batch of new screenshots and details about some of the game’s features.
First up is a brief look at the character Io. She can join the player as an assistant character in battles, and she uses the halberd as her weapon of choice. She has some healing abilities as well, and can deal moderate damage, so don’t expect her to carry you in battles.
Code Vein also offers up some multiplayer functionality, and you can call for help from other players by sending out a distress signal. Players who join your game will also be able to get items dropped by enemies and earn Haze from fallen foes. The game also helps to facilitate communication between players through the usage of stamps and preset voice lines, so you’ll be able to at least try to let your partner know what you want to achieve in a particular level.
You can check out the new screenshots in the gallery down below.
Code Vein is set to be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Sept. 28.
