The company is gearing up for its biggest E3 presence ever, aiming to impress again with Cyberpunk 2077, which they believe is well placed to make a big impact on the market.

“To-date enthusiastic reception of the product by gamers and experts alike suggests that the brand carries considerable strength,
both in terms of its appeal and market potential.

Top-notch development quality along with further effective marketing activities surrounding the release of Cyberpunk 2077, PR activities, hype building and involvement in fostering a strong gamer community will all significantly affect the market performance of the upcoming product,” CD Projekt Red writes in their financial statement of Q1 2019.

Elsewhere, we learned that the team working on the game, which numbers 400, has now reached full size –though it is expected to grow with additional QA support as the game nears completion.

This is “normal given that QA activities are carried out both internally and by subcontractors,” CEO and company president Adam Kiciński said.

Asked by Bloomberg as to whether CDPR would be announcing Cyberpunk 2077’s release date at E3, Kiciński said:

“Sorry, but we cannot say that – I mean, we can neither confirm nor deny this.”

Notably, though, while talking through the presentation slides, he spoke of this year’s E3 “most important fair in the CD PROJEKT Group’s history.” Also, that beyond just what has been announced so far, the company is “also preparing certain surprises.”

Yesterday, the company announced that its Cyberpunk presentation would span both public and behind closed doors presentations. It will not be playable, though it will be played live by CDPR developers.
