You can check them all out below.

The press release also includes the first details, which you can read below.

Super plays clashing in high-speed! “Arcade football action”

This title adopts the arcade football genre that allows gamers to experience super plays in real time, one of the reasons Captain Tsubasa games are so popular.

This is an exhilarating action game that enables players to enjoy scoring goals while performing dream skills against opponents at high speed by mastering the simple controls.

Interestingly, we learn that on top of the familiar cast, the game will also feature a “mysterious soccer player.”

On top of that, we get a comment from Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe senior VP marketing, digital & content Hervé Hoerdt, who certainly appears to be enthusiastic about the license.

“Securing the Captain Tsubasa license to bring a football game to the western market is a dream come true.

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions isn’t created just for the fans of the manga, but will be enjoyed by football fans all over the world!”

We also get a comment from the North American arm of the company, and more precisely by Dennis Lee, Director of Brand Marketing.

“We’re excited to take to the pitch and bring Captain Tsubasa back to western console and PC gaming audiences with Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions.

With Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions we’re combining the global excitement surrounding the sport of soccer with the nostalgic appeal of the classic Captain Tsubasa franchise; all presented with anime style and flair. Soccer and anime fans are in for a truly unique and unforgettable experience!”

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions will release for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC worldwide in 2020.

Captain Tsubasa is one of the most popular soccer anime ever aired, if not the most popular in the history of animation.

The manga by Youichi Takahashi debuted all the way back on Weekly Shounen Jump in 1981, and the anime which started airing in Japan in 1983 included several seasons giving birth to many theatrical movies and OVA episodes for the home video market.

The franchise is especially popular in Europe and Latin America, where it’s basically a legend among anime fans. In many countries, the anime series is still aired today, nearly forty years after its debut.
