Can all of you believe that it has been a whopping 15 years since the original Monster Hunter launched in Japan for the PS2? Well, Capcom has definitely kept track of the years, as just today, the Japanese company uploaded a special anniversary video for the series and it brings back memories.
In the video down below, Capcom goes through the history of the series, starting with the original game that launched in 2002 and ending with the upcoming expansion to Monster Hunter: World, Iceborne.
The company has also relaunched the 15th-anniversary website for the franchise where they announced several new collaborations such as Monster Hunter-themed t-shirts from a Uniqlo partnership and wrist-watches with Bridal Fair.
Considering that Monster Hunter: World alone, managed to sell over 12 million units and is mainly due to how Capcom decided to go with this new entry. Making it more accessible and streamlined than ever, while still bringing in veterans, proved to be a success, for both fans and Capcom themselves.
