The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Launch Trailer Is Here to Remind You of the Game’s Three Modes

black ops 4, multiplayer, tips, tricks, call of duty

With just a few weeks left until the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Activision and Treyarch have released a launch gameplay trailer to remind you of what you can do in the game. While you might not play as good as those in the trailer do, it’s a great reminder of what this game is all about: multiplayer.

If this is your first time hearing about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, you might be wondering where the trailer for the campaign is. Hopefully you aren’t a diehard Call of Duty campaign player because Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will have no campaign when it launches or at any point afterward. In its place is the new battle royale mode, Blackout.

Simply put, Blackout is Call of Duty’s take on the ever-growing genre of Battle Royale. The map is the largest Call of Duty map ever made (makes sense, right?) and it’s basically a conglomerate of the series’ best maps from games past. Firing Range, Nuketown, Turbine, Estate and more are all back. While roving from location to location on the Blackout map, players will be picking up weapons, using a multitude of vehicles and in its very own unique fashion, fighting off zombies in hopes of better loot. Blackout will be available on day one of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Alongside Blackout is zombies (this time with three different zombie campaigns) and multiplayer. Multiplayer is everything you’ve come to know and love from the Black Ops series without the advanced movement system. It’s Black Ops 3 with boots-on-the-ground gameplay. Even the specialists are back. On the other hand, zombies is relaunching with a brand new story so it’s the perfect starting point for first-time zombie players.

You can pick up Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on PS4, Xbox One and PC on Friday, Oct. 12.
