Today Bandai Namco released a new gallery of screenshots of its upcoming online JRPG Blue Protocol.
The screenshots showcased two of the more interesting visual features of the game. First of all, we get to see how characters are designed to be expressive pretty much like in an anime even during gameplay.
Secondly, we take a look at the title’s beautiful vistas in terms of environments created in Unreal Engine 4.
On top of that, we learn that in order to accommodate the high number of applications for the beta, the number of available tester slots has been doubled, from 5,000 to 10,000. The deadline for applications (available here only to Japanese players) has also been extended to July 16. The dates for the test itself have remained the same, between July 26 and July 28.
You can enjoy the new screenshots below.
If you want to see more, you can watch the initial announcement trailer and the first screenshots, and the second batch of screenshots together with a video featuring the character creation.
Blue Protocol is an online JRPG in development for PC by a team named Project Blue Sky, which is a joint initiative of Bandai Namco Online and Bandai Namco Studios. At the moment, there is no release date.
