Once Battlefield 1 launches, you will be able to rent servers directly from EA, according to a new post on the official Battlefield 1 blog. These servers can be configured for both private and public games, and will give the owner complete control over things like map rotation, game mode, gameplay settings, and so on.
According to the post, the servers can be rented directly from the in-game store. Among the listed benefits of renting an official server are quality hardware, a uniform experience for everyone and that EA Support will be fielding queries and help requests for the program. This way, you won’t have to deal with any pesky third-parties in trying to rent servers for the game.
DICE confirms in the post that the number of game modes may be restricted at launch, however. New options for the servers and improved UI design will be patched in throughout the year (or what little remains of it).
Battlefield 1 releases on Oct. 21 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
