Looks like there’s a new Assassin’s Creed game on the way this month, but instead of a big release it’s a mobile game. Assassin’s Creed Identity was initially announced back in 2014, and received a soft launch in Australia and New Zealand that same year.
Ubisoft released a new trailer this morning, showing that the mobile game would be coming to North America this month on February 25. The game is set during the Italian Renaissance and lets players create their own character from four different character classes: Berserker, Shadow Blade, Trickster and Thief.
Here’s a description of the game from Ubisoft,
“Assassin’s Creed Identity is the first Assassin’s Creed Action-RPG game for mobile devices that lets you create, evolve and customize your own Assassins and play them in the iconic Renaissance Italy setting. Embody an Assassin and experience the freedom of movement that made the franchise unique while unraveling the mystery of The Crows and solving dozens of quests.”
Identity will cost $5 and you’ll need either the iPad 3 or later, iPhone 5 or later, and have iOS 7 installed in order to play the game. The game is developed by Blue Byte, the makers of The Settlers series. Another game, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia, is due out on February 9.
