During Nintendo’s financial report briefing yesterday, the company announced its upcoming plans for the rest of 2017, and went over the various pieces of software that would be releasing for the Switch and 3DS. They also stated that they would be skipping E3 again this year.
‘Finally, the video game tradeshow E3 will be held in Los Angeles this June. Again this year, we will not be hosting a large-scale press conference for institutional investors, analysts and the media. Nintendo of America will present further information on our plans at a later date.’
The company hasn’t had an official press conference at E3 for the past four years, so this doesn’t really come as a surprise. More likely than not, they’ll host a Treehouse or Direct digital event again, where they’ll have announcements and news to share over a livestream during E3 itself.
E3 will run from June 13 to 15 at the Los Angeles Convention Center this year. We’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way.
