Today, Sony revealed the games that will be free to download on all of its current consoles for PlayStation Plus subscribers in April.
The news comes via a post on PlayStation blog that gives a quick rundown of some of the titles that will be available next month. The first PlayStation 4 game on offer is Zombi, a survival-horror FPS from Ubisoft. The game is a port of the Wii U launch title that has players exploring the city of London desperately fighting off waves of zombies. Zombie also has a ‘perma death’ mechanic which means you’ll have to be particularly observant of your surrounding if you want to keep rollin’ with the character you’ve got.
PlayStation 4 players will also get the chance to pick up brand-new title, Dead Star, as it launches through the PlayStation Plus service. Dead Star is a “team-based space-shooter-meets-RPG” as described by the developer Armature Studio. Dead Star is a 10v10 online experience that offers a ton of depth in the form of skill trees, upgrades, strategy and more.
PlayStation 3 owners will get Ubisoft’s 2012 survival game I Am Alive. In I Am Alive, a worldwide cataclysmic event has wiped out most of the human race. You’ll take the role of a man who’s struggling for survival in a desolate city as he tries to reunite with his lost wife and daughter.
Savage Moon will also be available for PlayStation 3 PS Plus subscribers. In Savage Moon, you’ll have to use an arsenal of high-tech military hardware to defend a remote mining facility from a deadly army of alien creatures known as Insectocytes.
Finally, PlayStation Vita owners will be able to download A Virus Named Tom and Shutshimi during the month of April.
