Electronic Arts recently revealed that Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance set records for the highest engagement since the game’s launch. This information was provided yesterday, when EA announced its preliminary results for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year, which refers to the period between January 1 and March 31, 2022.
This increase in engagement may be thanks, in part, to the celebration of the three-year anniversary and the release of the 9v9 Control LTM that changed up the gameplay in a significant way. Whatever the cause, this news bodes well for Season 13: Saviors, which just went live yesterday.
Additionally, during the report of EA’s results, CEO Andrew Wilson had this to say about whether or not there are any plans to change the flow of live services or content drops for Apex Legends:
“The Respawn team and the Apex team have demonstrated over the course of the last two plus years an extraordinary connection with their community. And they’ve been able to figure out exactly when and how to make drops, and things the community wants and needs. And so, we don’t have a hard and fast rule in terms of which drops will happen when.”
