BioWare General Manager, Casey Hudson, published the first Anthem post-launch blog update and in it, said improvements to many of the problems players face today are on the way.
Anthem has had a number of problems since launch and has faced a fair amount of criticism because of it, but despite that, the team at BioWare has continued to push forward hot fixes, patches, updates and more in an effort to get the game to where they, and fans, want the game to be.
Today on the BioWare blog, General Manager Casey Hudson expressed that he understands the frustration players might feel about Anthem.
“We launched a game that so many of you tell us is really fun at its core, but we also had a degree of issues that did not reveal themselves until we were operating at the scale of millions of players,” Hudson says in the blog post. “We were of course very disappointed about that, as were many of you.”
He continues to explain how he feels about that disappointment before explaining that some fixes are on the way.
“We also continue to listen to your feedback, with more improvements to endgame loot and progression, game flow, and stability and performance coming soon — so there’s a lot of work that we intend to do,” Hudson says in the blog post.
Hudson doesn’t put any release window or date on these fixes, though, so for now, there’s only speculation. Hopefully, these improvements and fixes come sooner rather than later.
Hudson continues on with a tease of what’s to come — new world events, new story content, new features and the Cataclysm. He ends the post-launch update hopeful and excited to “prove that with Anthem, the best is yet to come.”
