Like every shooter these days, Respawn’s Titanfall 2 will be having DLC. But if you were expecting to pay for a season pass come October like the first game, you’re thankfully wrong, as Respawn announced that all of the game’s DLC would be free. Speaking at an EA Play event in London last night, development head David Wightmann confirmed that the studio wouldn’t be charging players for new maps or modes:
“We’ll definitely be supporting the game post-launch, and I can confirm all the maps and modes we deliver post-launch will be free…we’re doing this for the player, not the dollars.”
As far as what new modes that could be (please be Titan parkour races), Wightmann didn’t say, though he did mention that they’d be able to talk about it more closer to release.
Titanfall 2 lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28. If you haven’t seen its single player campaign yet, you can check it out here.
