Zelda Breath of the Wild: How to Beat Divine Beast Vah Naboris Easily

Divine Beast Vah Naboris – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Recommended Videos

Part of the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s story revolves around Link freeing four Divine Beasts from Ganon’s control. These towering behemoths were ancient weapons built by civilizations thousands of years ago and were successful in overpowering Ganon in the past. Unfortunately, during the evil spirit’s last resurgence they fell under the control of malice and have turned against the very people they were built to protect. One of these beasts is Naboris, a large quadruped that wields the power of lighting. Before you take control of Naboris, you must first enter it which requires taking the machine down in a very dangerous environment.

There is a major threat plaguing you during this encounter with Naboris that is far more serious than the one you faced with Ruta. This Divine Beast fires down powerful bolts of electricity which can kill you in one shot if you don’t have proper protection, and even with resistance can take half of your Hearts with ease (we faced it with nine hearts). There is an area that you are completely free of danger, and that’s near the Geruda chief. She wears a headdress that is completely immune to all electricity. The problem is, staying near her is often easier said than done because instead of following you, the person doing the fighting, you need to follow her, and she doesn’t move very quickly. This often means in order to get a good shot at Naboris’ feet, you’ll need to be out of the safety zone and at very high risk of death.

There’s an easy way to get this challenge done, but it requires a lot of stopping. You will both be riding Sand Seals in order to move quickly through the sand while chasing this beast down. You can dash, making you move much faster than the chief. Use this to get ahead of Naboris, then immediately hop off (press B) and aim at the feet. It takes two shots with Bomb Arrows to take out one foot (don’t worry, you’re given 20 before the quest). The chief will actually rush to you to protect you, letting you get off one or two easy shots at point blank range without having to worry about your surroundings. It’s much easier than actually shooting while moving, and you’ll be able to complete this section without taking a single point of damage.

Just rinse and repeat until all four of Naboris’ legs are destroyed. You will bring Naboris down and after a brief cutscene, you’ll be entering your next The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild dungeon.
