The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Lord of the Mountain

Recommended Videos

The Lord of the Mountain is a secret mount that you can tame in Breath of the Wild. It’s also the fastest mount in the game. However, you’ll need quite a bit of stamina if you’re to have any hope of controlling this beast.

First off, you’ll want to head to the top of Satori Mountain, which is just west of the central Hyrule region, and south of Ridgeland Tower. On top of the mountain, you’ll find a cherry grove where the Lord of the Mountain resides. You’ll have to come here during the nighttime in order to get it to spawn. We highly suggest saving your game before trying to tame it, as it will likely run away if you fail to keep it under control.

Once you’re ready, sneak up behind it like you would with any other horse, and climb onto its back. You’ll need either two full stamina circles (that’s five upgrades) or a ton of stamina regen food items in order to tame it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like you can register the Lord of the Mountain at a stable, so make sure not to lose it once you finally tame it.
