How to Get Korok Seeds and What They do – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is finally here on Wii U and Nintendo Switch, and it gives players a substantially larger world to explore than what the series has seen before. Along with that, there’s a ton to see and do in Breath of the Wild, including shrines, battling enemies, finding treasure, and finding Koroks. That’s right the Koroks from Wind Waker return in a big way as collectibles scattered across the land of Hyrule, with a whopping 900 in total scattered across Breath of the Wild’s world.
Each time you find a Korok in Breath of the Wild, it’ll reward you with a Korok Seed which can be used to increase your inventory slots. You can see more about how and where to use Korok Seeds here, but basically you can upgrade your storage for weapons, shields, and bows up to 24 times each. You can only upgrade one at a time, and only increase by one slot at a time. The first time you upgrade your inventory in Breath of the Wild, it will cost one Korok Seed, the second time it’ll cost two, the third time it’ll cost three, and so on. Because of this, you’ll want to find as many seeds as you possibly can throughout your adventure.
Korok’s themselves can be find a number of different places. They’re usually found around trees or forests so keep an eye out there, but can also be found underneath rocks and other places. More often than not there’s a puzzle associated with finding a Korok, like moving metal boxes around or selecting flower patterns in the right order. Just keep an eye out while your adventuring in Breath of the Wild and look for anything that seems out of the ordinary. There are 900 Koroks after all, so you’re bound to just stumble on a few naturally.
