How to Get the Travel Medallion in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Recommended Videos

On top of interesting pieces of new armor such as Tingle’s Outfit and Midna’s Helmet, there’s another item added to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild by way of the Master Trials DLC that you should definitely go and collect. The item is called the Travel Medallion and it allows you to create a custom waypoint that you can travel to at any point just like the fast travel points already in the world. Sounds like something you can definitely put to use, right? So let’s go find it.

To begin, you’ll need the Teleportation Rumors quest, as it will guide you. Head over to the South Akkala Stable. Inside is a book that you need to read which will point you to where you need to go with a simple hint saying that the Travel Medallion is located beneath a labyrinth in the northeast. That hint is directing you to Lomel Labryinth Island which is north of the Akkala Ancient Lab (you’ll have to glide to it).

Make your way to the Shrine on the island if you haven’t completed it already (if you did beat it, just fast travel to it, it’s the Ka’loh Shrine). When you beat the Shrine, you’ll have access to a sort of basement that is full of Guardians (some alive, some dead). The chest you need is in this room, near the south wall. You can avoid the Guardians by keeping your distance, but be prepared just in case, or destroy them if that’s what you’re into.

That’s all there is to it. You now have one of the most useful items in the game which should help out with exploration. For more on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, check out our wiki.
