How Many Shrines Are There in Zelda: Breath of the Wild?
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is filled with Shrines to find. These special locations are sort of mini-dungeons, filled with a puzzle, possibly enemies, and a Spirit Orb reward should you complete it. With precious Spirit Orbs on the table, just how many Shrines are there in Breath of the Wild?
Well, lucky for you, there’s a butt-ton. Zelda: Breath of the Wild features 120 Shrines across its world. This number represents the number so far, however, so there’s always the possibility for more to join the roster, especially come the two DLC bundles releasing this year.
To find as many of these locations as possible, you’ll want to upgrade your Sheikah Slate. To do this, activate the second Sheikah tower, and it’ll gain the function to scan for Shrines. With the scanner on, the Slate will beep whenever you’re close to a shrine. The beeping will quicken the closer to the Shrine you are.
You can also turn off the scanner from the map screen if the beeping of 120 Shrines is driving you mad. If you do, you can always spot Shrines by their orange glow and strange, rune-covered egg rocks.
