How to Jump in Yooka-Laylee
One of the fundamental moves you need in a platformer like Yooka-Laylee is the jump. Granting you access to otherwise out of reach places, being able to jump has become a staple in almost every video game now, and Yooka-Laylee is no different.
To jump in Yooka-Laylee, all you need to do is press the A button (X on PS4). Doing so will see the duo take to the air, but unfortunately, it’s not that high. Luckily for us, there is a way to be able to not only jump higher but to be able to glide, too.
These two abilities will be made available to you as you progress through the game thanks to Trowzer the snake. Once you’ve got these abilities from our slithery friend, you’ll just need to double tap A / X to initiate a glide. To get even more air, simply hold down LT/L2 to have Yooka crouch, and then press A/ X to see the duo spring into the air with the help of his tail.
