Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a new massive JRPG from Monolith Soft and Nintendo, and it features a deceptively complex and in-depth battle system that will take hours for players to truly learn and master. There are all sorts of combos and canceling attacks to familiarize yourself with, and Arts are at the center of it all.

How to Use Arts in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

First off, let’s talk about how you can actually use Arts in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. While in combat, all you have to do is press the face button that your Art is tied to, and your character will perform it.

Arts are bound to up, right, and down on the d-pad, as well as the B, X, and Y buttons. Press any of these buttons, and your character will use the Art that’s been assigned to it. However, you won’t be able to just spam your Arts whenever you want. After using them, you’ll need a while before you can activate them again.

Arts will become available to you again after a short cooldown timer, though they can also be charged up quickly with auto-attacks. Keep an eye on the gauge onscreen, and you’ll be able to see when they’ve charged up and are ready for use.

How to Equip Arts

As you might expect, there are quite a few Arts available to you in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Different characters can come with unique Arts as you level up, and you’ll be able to experiment with them as you progress.

To equip them, bring up the menu with the X button, select Characters, then select Arts. From this menu, choose the Art you want to replace, then choose the new Art that you want to replace it with, and you’re all set.

That’s all you need to know about how to use and equip Arts in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game, including the details on all heroes and their classes, how to level up fast, or how to clean clothes and what that does.
