XCOM 2 War of the Chosen: How to Remove Negative Traits

How to Cure Negative Traits in XCOM 2: War of the Chosen

Recommended Videos

With XCOM 2: War of the Chosen, soldiers won’t just be leveling up on the battlefield anymore. Now, they can actually develop debilitating traits that will affect how useful they might be in certain missions. If they’re scared of the Chosen, every time one of them enters the battlefield (which happens frequently), your soldier will make a saving throw of sorts and can either resist or become engulfed by one of the negative state of minds. Inconvenient, you say? You’re right.

Simply taking your soldier to the avenger and keeping them there won’t take away their fears. That will be a huge waste of time for you, so don’t even try it out. You’ll need to build an infirmary facility, which will allow you to put a soldier in the open slot and eventually remove the negative trait. While it sucks that you can only do one soldier at a time per infirmary, at least there’s a cure at all, right? If you have a slew of crazed up crew members, build more infirmaries and you’ll speed up the process. It’s a long and arduous process, but it’s your best bet to have tip top soldiers in XCOM 2: War of the Chosen.
