6) Holy Priest
With its release last week, you may be wondering what the best healer class in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is stacking up to be. And while there is no definitive best or worst in WoW, some classes are performing better than others in some key areas that will help to decide what is most viable currently.
Holy Priests are great sustained healers that provide strong AoE healing. On top of this, they feature some great abilities for single target and tank healing. Most of their stronger spells require standing still to cast which means they are a fairly immobile class.
Holy Priests are more than likely the least survivable class to play as. They are extremely squishy and offer little in the way of defenses. In their current state, they are likely to be downed by raid mechanics if even a single mistake is made. This puts them at a major disadvantage to every other healing class.

5) Restoration Shaman

On top of this, they feature some of the strongest saving-throw heals the game has to offer and can be the difference between a wipe and finishing a fight.
Restoration Shamans are not great when it comes to sustained single target healing, or healing widespread groups. They also are unable to take much punishment, lowering their survivability overall.

4) Mistweaver Monk
Mistweaver Monks have seen a number of changes going into Battle for Azeroth that have made them a more viable healing option overall. They feature a diverse talent tree that is highly customizable to fit a variety of encounters. They are efficient at providing both single target and AoE healing. On top of this they are able to provide healing through damage if Fistweaving is selected, though the additional difficulty of this does not often see better results than taking on a more traditional healing role within groups.
While Mistweaver Monks are not the greatest burst healers, they provide exceptional sustained healing throughout fights. Their survivability is boosted, however, due to their high mobility and a variety of utility abilities.

3) Discipline Priest
Discipline Priests are unique in that they generate a lot of their healing while contributing to the overall damage output of a raid group. While putting out an adequate amount of damage, they also feature the strongest burst healing in the game. On top of this, they also feature standard healing and damage mitigation spells that come in handy in any group.
Discipline Priests can be difficult to master because of their multi-use nature. Some players may have trouble finding a balance between dealing damage and providing efficient healing. On top of this, Priests are a fairly squishy class in general and can be downed rather quickly.

2) Restoration Druid
Restoration Druids are extremely useful, yet niche healers. In Battle for Azeroth they have been nerfed quite a bit, but still exceed at high burst healing when needed during a fight due to having a number of powerful cooldowns. They are also considerably tankier than other healers and can put up with a fair amount of punishment before being downed.
Restoration Druids fall a bit flat in overall healing potential otherwise, with average to below average sustained heals. They also require a bit more concentration as using your cooldowns too early or too late can be detrimental.

1) Holy Paladin
Holy Paladins are one of the most sought after healers, and for good reason. While they are not quite as strong as they have been in past expansions, they offer a unique range of abilities that will give them an edge even when their healing is on the lower end of the spectrum. They do feature strong sustained single target healing and overall damage mitigation with a few strong AoE abilities.
Holy Paladins are lacking in mobility, lowering their survivability slightly. They also do not have raid wide healing cooldowns that are competitive with other classes. Holy Paladins are plate wearers, making them extremely durable in combat.
