Catching a Chatot in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

There aren’t probably too many people out there to try and catch Chatot for its physical prowess. It has 411 base stats, which is pathetically low, it doesn’t evolve, and it doesn’t have any great moves. Its one gimmick is that it has a move called Chatter, which used to allow players to record a sound on the Microphone and play it at whenever Chatot would use Chatter. If it was loud enough, it had a chance to confuse the enemy.

Nowadays you can’t do that anymore but, Chatter still exists, and it’s actually a decent Normal-type move that does OK damage and will confuse the enemy. Not good enough to make Chatot relevant, but it’s fun nonetheless.

Anyway, if you’re looking to find Chatot in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, head on over to either Route 222 or 224. It’s not a particularly rare Pokemon, at least not any more or less than anything else that appears in those areas, so just scrounge around and you’ll find a Chatot to catch eventually.
