Ever since COVID-19 became a thing and we, as a human race, collectively became hermits to avoid infecting each other, conventions and events have slowly transitioned to being digital or online-only affairs. Summer Game Fest quickly emerged as an online event full of game announcements and trailers to look forward to during the pandemic, and with E3 being canceled this year, it’s pretty much become the only thing the gaming community can latch on to in the summer. Here’s what you need to know about when Summer Game Fest 2022 is taking place.

When Is Summer Game Fest 2022?

To get straight to the point, Summer Game Fest 2022 is set to start on June 9, at 11 a.m. Pacific Time. The event is set to run throughout the entire month of June, and you can check out the official website for updates and details on showcases and livestreams as they get announced.

For now, the Geoff Keighley-hosted event itself will start on the 9th, where we’ll get to check out a series of trailers and new announcements, similar to how E3’s conferences used to be structured. We’ll then have the Tribeca Games Spotlight on the 10th, followed by the Xbox + Bethesda Games Showcase on the 12th.

As mentioned previously, it’s likely that a lot more publishers and developers will be hosting their own livestreams and shows as part of Summer Game Fest, though those have yet to be unveiled.

That’s all you need to know about when Summer Game Fest 2022 is taking place, and we’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more news and information.
