What’s New in Animal Crossing New Horizons’ May Day Update

Well, let’s get the bad news out of the way right now before you all get too excited. The May Day event in Animal Crossing only comes with one new activity for you to do on the island and that’s the May Day tour that you can go on, and you can only do it once.

If you start up your game and then go speak to Tom Nook over in Resident Services, he’ll tell you what May Day means and give you a speech on how the day is meant to express gratitude to those who work hard. After his spiel, you can go over to the airport and you’ll have a May Day ticket available for you.

You can only use this ticket one time and what it does is it takes you to a special island with a hedge maze in it and you have to figure out how to get through it without having your items on you.

Once you figure out how to get through, you’ll find a cat named Rover at the end of it and they will gift you with a special briefcase. OK, it’s actually not that special because it’s just a briefcase that’s used for decorative purposes and nothing else.

You have until May 7 to use the single May Day ticket and that’s pretty much all there is to it. It’s unfortunate that there’s nothing else for you to do for May Day but hey, at least the maze is surprisingly complex and enjoyable for an Animal Crossing game!

And that’s all you need to know about what’s new in Animal Crossing New Horizons‘ May Day update. For more on the life sim game, you can check out our Guide Wiki for tips and tricks.
