What Does the Arcane Stat Do in Elden Ring?

According to the Stats menu description, the Arcane stat “governs discovery,” which essentially means that you’ll be able to find items on regular defeated enemies more often. Along with that, the stat also has an effect on Vitality, Holy damage defense, and the strength of certain Sorceries and Incantations.

If you’re ever stuck wondering what a certain word or category in the Status menu means, all you need to do is look at the bottom-left corner of the screen and press Help. This will then bring up a menu where you can choose an Explanation option.

The Explanation option will let you know what certain terms on the screen mean, just like in the screenshot used above.

How to Increase Arcane Stat

Just like any other stat, you can level up your character’s Arcane by spending your Runes, earned by defeating enemies and selling items and weapons you find to merchants. Each time you level up an attribute by one, you’ll also increase your character’s overall level.

The more you level up your character’s stats, the more Runes you’ll need to spend to level up again. This applies regardless of what the stat is and how much you’ve previously leveled it up.

That’s everything you need to know about what the Arcane stat does in Elden Ring. Be sure to search Twinfinite and check out the related articles below to find more of our Elden Ring coverage, which includes a weapon tier list, a list of all major bosses, and much more.
